An Awkward Edit
I rarely edit my show, but a goof that I hadn’t noticed until I listened back on Saturday needed to be dealt with, so I did a quick edit and redid the beginning of the show. I hope the volume didn’t get screwy.
A Solar Eclipse And Clouds
A total solar eclipse is coming to America. Well, it was when I recorded the show. (It’s come and gone as of this writing.) The path of totality wouldn’t be anywhere near the Twin Cities, which is where I live.
As the weekend approached, a local weatherperson on the local news was showing the forecast map and it looked like the Twin Cities and much of Texas, which the eastern part of the state was on the path of totality, were going to be under clouds.
This would be a bummer, especially for the hosts of The Skeptic’s Guide to the Universe, who had planned a trip to Dallas to watch the event.
Did the forecast get it right?
They got half of it right.
Oh, and the Flat Earthers have an “explanation” for how eclipses happen. They are wrong, of course.

Drug stuff, DUIs, assaults, slapping a cop, homicide, trespassing, vandalism, seduction, and a couple other reasons explained these mugshot. Also, Lindsay Lohan sure takes a hot mugshot!

It has to do with the Monkees song What Am I Doing Hanging ‘Round?
I think the song misses out on the opportunity to do something clever with the chorus. See if you agree.
