Dad Is Home
It’s been three days now. Dad is home. My sister is staying with him until other arrangements are made. (More on that in the future.)
He’s happy to be back in his house and we intend to do what we can to keep him there as long as possible.
The Finger Issue
I thought it was a parody of the world famous magazine of satire and parody. But, no, that is an actual cover of Mad Magazine!
I had no idea it existed.
That Ain’t Traci Lords!
Mom! The internet is wrong again!
On my Facebook page, a friend had shared this image and I asked if that was Laraine Newman copping a feel in the group (or should I say grope?) photo. They told me it was Traci Lords.
That ain’t Traci Lords. That’s Laraine Newman. Don’t doubt my super-recognizer powers. Laraine was a member of the improv troupe The Groundlings, as were Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman) and Cassandra Peterson (Elvira). Traci was never a Groundling.
Here’s another shot of Laraine sporting the exact same look.
I’m right and the internet is wrong.
Parabreakdown And AI-Generated Images
Parabreakdown is a YouTube channel that does quick looks at claims of believers in the paranormal. He looks at all kinds of questionable evidence, including that offered for the existence of Bigfoot.
It’s a good channel that is worth a look.
A recent video looks into some old photographs alleged to be from the early days of photography showing Bigfoot like creatures posing with people. Just hangin’ out together. No big deal.
AI Could Cause Some Problems
I get more into it on the show (so listen to it!) than I will here, but Artificial Intelligence is beginning to create images of events that didn’t happen and the images are getting more realistic. In fact, recent AI photos of a certain politician who refused to accept they had lost an election, so they incited their followers into attempting a coup, which thankfully didn’t work, had fooled some people into thinking the arrest photos of that politician were real.
I speculated as to what might be possible with AI. Good and bad.
Have a listen.
