My Heart Works!
After that big snowfall in January and my worry of having a heart attack (I wasn’t), I finally got in for a stress test of my heart. I walked the treadmill, at increasing speeds and inclines, for 10 minutes and 10 seconds.
I did well at hitting and surpassing the target heart rate (137 bpm). There were no adverse effects. And the doctor says I’m good.
Yay!
Dad Update
My dad was moved from the hospital to a transition care facility last Monday. That night he tested positive for COVID. What next?!
He’s under COVID quarantine now until Thursday. Family can still see him, but we have to gear up with gowns, gloves, and N-95 masks. Not the most comfortable stuff to wear.
Dad still isn’t Dad. I see flashes of him, but his cognitive ability is not good. And the COVID isn’t helping him get better.
One day at a time.
Fan Mail!
It arrived just past mid-March, but I didn’t see it until Easter Sunday.
There was a congratulations message from a fan in Ohio in my Dimland Radio emailbox. This new fan took the time to say well done on 13 years of Dimland Radio and that they’ve been listening for a year. AND they actually look forward to my show each week.
It’s difficult to oversell how cool this is to me.

The Twins Beat The Hated Yankees!
Former MN Twins manager Tom Kelly, who managed the Twins to two World Series Championships (1987 & 1991), was asked, after the Twins were once again humiliated in the postseason by the Bronx Bastards, how can our boys beat the Pinstripes in the playoffs. TK answered, “Start beating them in the regular season.”
The Twins have been owned by the Hated Yankees since 2000. Their record was a horrible 49-105 before this season! Gah!
Well, we can add two wins for the Twins. As I recorded the show, the two teams were in the middle of a four game series in New York. The Twins won the first two games! One game was a blowout, the other was a come from behind win. Could there be a sweep brewing?
Spoiler… Nope.
The Hated Ones won the next two games in the series, but a series split in New York is pretty good.
