The Super Bowl Is Set

Make it a good one, fellas!

I didn’t know it at the time of recording, but we all know it now. It’s gonna be the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. The exact two teams I was not hoping would make it to the big game.

Let’s just hope for a good and entertaining game.

A Dimland Radio Pedantic Moment: Miller Lite Ad

I’m surprised they sell anything other than Miller Lite.

Just look at all the signage! One would think the store would only carry the one “beer”. And check out Mr. Can’t Be Bothered throwing attitude at the customer.

Watch the ad here and feel my pain.

Clever use of the Ace Of Base hit The Sign, though.

It’s Not True: The Simpson’s Uncanny 2000 Depiction Of Fearless Loser’s Campaign Kick-Off

Can you believe it? You shouldn’t, because isn’t not true.

It’s been spreading around the internets and at first is is stunning how similar a segment of an episode of The Simpsons from 2000 is to the Orange Fascist’s announcement of his intention to run for President destroy America in 2015.

I was stunned! I just couldn’t believe it! How could they have gotten it so close?!

Well, they didn’t.

The lie. The truth.

Live Albums And The Who Studio Versus Live

George Hrab of the Geologic Podcast

On a recent Geologic Podcast, host George Hrab answered a question from a fan about live albums. He talks about how some live albums aren’t all live. Some artists will use overdubs and sweeten the crowd sounds. Kiss Alive is a good example of this.

So, what else could I do but use this live album talk to segue into talking about my favorite band The Who?

The greatest rock band ever!

I did a compare and contrast with two of there songs. Comparing the studio version of both to their live versions.

See Me Feel Me studio version vs live version

A Quick One While He’s Away studio version vs live version
