I’m Me Again
25 days after the the barbershops and hair salons were allowed to open, I finally made my way into a Great Clips to stop looking like a damned hippie.

It’s Not True: 3 Items
Item #1: Alexandria Ocascio-Cortez’s Deleted Tweet and Doing Research

The above image was shared on Facebook by a friend of mine. It seemed fishy to me so I started searching to see if it was real. I knew to avoid using Snopes to debunk this claim, because my friend would have dismissed that out of hand, because Snopes has a liberal bias, so they would lie about this item.

Among the many red flags indicating this was fake was a database that captures politician’s deleted tweets and this tweet allegedly by AOC is not there; Real News Network is a news website, but it has nothing about this tweet, the RNN logo in the image is not the logo for that website, it looks more like the logo for Radio News Network.
I revealed this to my friend and got no reaction. When someone else shared a Snopes article debunking the claim, that person got plenty of attention as my friend and others dismissed Snopes out of hand. Incidentally, while I was doing my research (something my friend clearly didn’t do), I did check Snopes. They had nothing when I checked. Eventually, they did and they used the same deleted tweets database that I found.
I could work for Snopes.
Item #2: Comparing Trump To Hitler
He campaigned for and held political power by scapegoating a group of people, promising to make the country great again, and by holding up a Bible in a photo-op. Am I talking about Donald Trump or Adolf Hitler?

If you go by the internet shared meme above, you’d think I could be referring to both,. However, the image of Hitler has been Photoshopped to make it appear he was holding a Bible. The image below is the real one.

Item #3: A Woman On YouTube Thinks She’s Had A Gotcha Moment
A friend sent me a link to a YouTube video of a person taking viewers through her research in discovering that money donated to Black Lives Matter ends up being given to Democrat Party candidates. My friend asked if the video was accurate or bullshit.
I watched it.
It’s bullshit.
A Dimland Radio Pedantic Moment: They’re Oldies?

This cartoon calls The Monkees, The Byrds, and The Turtles oldies, while calling Led Zeppelin, The Doors, and The Grateful Dead classic rock. But, the bands are contemporaries.
I know my pedantry ruins the joke.
A Cool (But Creepy) Thing

Look at it. Those are my parents at a Halloween Party circa 1970. Dad went as a scarecrow and Mom as a crow. I was about 4 or 5 years-old and Dad’s makeup scared the shit out of me.
Be patient. Wash your hands. Stay home. WEAR A MASK! Stay safe.
