Heart Attack
These show notes will be very brief.
On the show, I talked about my dad having a heart attack on Sunday, October 15th. At first, I thought he might have the flu or maybe COVID, but he wasn’t running a fever. In fact, his temperature was low. And, as it turned out, too low.
I made the right calls and he was sped off to the hospital.
One thing to be aware of: Heart attacks don’t necessarily look as dramatic as they do in the movies.

Sportsball! Baseball Postseason!
The Twins made the playoffs (there’s a certain hated team that did not, heh, heh) and they broke the longest postseason losing streak in all of North American sports (18 games in a row!). They won the American League Wild Card round by defeating the Toronto Blue Jays two games in a row in a best of three series.
My Twins then went down in the American League Division Series to the Houston Astros 3 games to 1 in a best of five series. (Houston was defeated in the American League Championship Series by the Texas Rangers.)
The World Series begins Friday. The Rangers will be taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks.

My Dad, My Hero, My Sad News
Emergency surgery got the blood flowing through his heart, but his body just wasn’t going to recover.
Tuesday, October 24th, we lost our dad.
I lost my hero.
Yes, the show has been very sporadic for a while now. It’s been an interesting year or two. But, Dimland Radio will be going on another short hiatus. It will resume November 11th and, hopefully, I’ll get back to a more consistent weekly schedule.
