My Tooth Is Still In My Head

Yep. That bad tooth is still there, but it’s days are numbered. As of this writing, the tooth is getting pulled tomorrow at noon. I’m done with the antibiotics and I don’t have as much pain. But, it will be a relief to get it out of there.

My Wife Is Now Bionic

SKA is the initials of the x-ray tech who made the image. And a fun genre of music.

The picture is pretty cool!

There’s a plate and several pins in there. Best of all it is healing nicely.

Amy still has some pain and she has plenty of physical therapy to do, but she’s able to work. And before we know it, the broken shoulder will be an interesting anecdote.

What Does GOOCH Mean?!

You know what the “taint” is, right?

It’s the slang term for that bit of the human body between the anus and the genitals. I learned recently that there is also the slang term “gooch” which means the same thing.

We may need to rename the G.O.O.C.H. Squad of the Assault of the 2 Headed Space Mules podcast.

And, now, watch this from Mr. Show.

A Couple Creepy Songs Or Keeping It In The Family

The songs were hits when they were released. The first was a Top 20 hit, the second was a Number 1 hit! Both are love song, just listen to the lyrics.

What a cute couple… Hang on!

Donny and Marie (brother and sister!) saw Deep Purple go to #14.

Daddy! What do I look like? Ivanka Trump?!”

Father and daughter, Frank and Nancy Sinatra, had this love song Somethin’ Stupid make it all the way to #1!

So creepy. Still I like both songs.

What’s wrong with me?!

Sigh…

Favorite Pete Townshend Solo

Hey! He got old!

I was asked by a friend what was my favorite solo by rock legend Pete Townshend. I asked for a clarification. Guitar? Song? Album?

My friend meant guitar solo. That’s difficult, because Townshend never was the kind of guitarist known for his solos. He’s a great rhythm guitar player, but not great at lead. I really like his acoustic guitar playing, in which he does do some interesting soloing.

Some examples:

The outro for Sister Disco from The Who album Who Are You.

From Tommy, as the opening track Overture winds down, Pete comes on with his acoustic guitar and sings about Tommy’s father, Captain Walker, apparently being killed in combat. Nice acoustic guitar soloing.

I think my favorite of his acoustic playing is from his solo live performances of Drowned from Quadrophenia. Here’s one from when he was younger. This one is from when he was probably about my age. So, you know, he was old.

On the show, I give a few of my favorites of his solo songs. And I also state my favorite of his solo albums.

You’ll have to listen.
