Our Big Trip To The UK and Northern Ireland
I Fell

Before I continue with the tale of my wife’s and my epic travels through the UK and Northern Ireland, I told the story of the tumble I took at the comic book store.
I had just finished recording last week’s show in the basement of Nostalgia Zone. I gathered up all my stuff and made my way through the stacks of bins, boxes, board games, and books to head upstairs, when I tripped on a box on the floor. That didn’t cause me to fall. But, my attempting to push the box back into place with my foot did.
See the red knobs and such sticking out at the bottom of the water heater? That scraped up my middle back really well. But, no major injuries, so I guess I won’t sue the pants off of the store.
This week’s show was recorded in the relative safety of my home basement bathroom.
On With The Tales Of Our Travels
OK, I’m not going to continue the day one, day two, and so on counting thing. It’s too difficult to remember everything in chronological order and which day it was.
Case in point:
Windsor, England
I forgot to mention, when I talked about Windsor last week, to mention two curious features of that town.
One is Queen Charlotte Street, the crazy short street that is a mere 51 feet 10 inches…

The second curious feature is right along side of the tiny street. It’s a crazy old and crazy crooked house…

Edinburgh, Scotland
Now onto Edinburgh, Scotland, which my wife and I agree was our favorite city of the trip. Don’t get us wrong, all the other stops had their on special charm, but this was our favorite. It was also the point in our travels where we back part of a group of 12 travelers.
Here’s some pictures!

Inverness, Scotland
The morning we left Edinburgh for Inverness was when we met our driver Graham. A terrific fellow, who took us to Loch Ness! He would also be our driver taking us to Glasgow.

McGlame!
I backtracked on the show to leave this story for last. While in Edinburgh, we met McGlame! Stephen McGlame and I met each other through both being fans of the Stuck In The 80s podcast. We had become friends through Facebook years ago. This was our first face to face meet up.

Next week the tales of our trip continues. We’ll still be in Scotland and I just may need to do a fourth show to be able to cover Ireland. Tune in!
