dimland radio 6-22-24 show notes

While taking the pause that refreshes in my bathroom, I noticed my toothbrush was entertaining a guest…

There are several such photos on Google. This seems to be a more common occurrence than I thought.

And I tell the tale of my mom’s centipede incident. I can still picture her icky dance and hear that shriek!

A product from back when America was great?

I found this in the basement at Nostalgia Zone (non-official “sponsor” of Dimland Radio). This is just wrong in so many ways.

Louisiana recently passed a law that every classroom, in every public school in its state needs to display a clearly readable copy of the Ten Commandments. This is, of course, a violation of the 1st Amendment.

If they are going put those up, they’ll have to put up other rules lists from other religions. Such as the Five Pillars of Islam, the 613 Mitzvot, and maybe even…

The Seven Tenets of The Satanic Temple.

And this…

These are good.

And this (which I’m told is n at least one classroom)…

These are good.

Or! Maybe just this could go in every classroom….

Who could object to this?

Starring Tom Hanks, who also wrote the screenplay, is this relentless tale of an American Destroyer (one of three) escorting a convoy of ships transporting men and material across the Atlantic in the early part of WW2. I think it’s very good. Well worth a watch!

I Have to make one correction. On the show, I said there was no air cover for the convoy for 48 hours. The trailer reminds me it was 5 days! That’s 120 hours!

I’m sure the rather larger actor is a fine person. He’s just playing a part.

Mattress Firm has an unusual way of advertising their product. Judging by their latest ad campaign, they seem to be targeting the asshole market.

Dimland Radio opening theme song: Ram by The Yoleus
